DIRECTOR of FUNDRAISING and DEVELOPMENT
Reports to: Executive Director
SUMMARY
Establish and implement the fundraising plan for Art For People, incorporating corporate sponsor-
ship, foundation, individual and business donor development, direct marketing, planned giving and major
gift-giving campaign strategies. Provide leadership and coordination of all Art For People fundraising,
and development and marketing functions. Develop and implement marketing and communications
strategies to support fundraising and community outreach plan. Monitor and analyze fund-raising,
revenues and marketing activity against goals.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Establish and implement the fundraising plan for Art For People, incorporating corporate sponsorship, foundation, individual and business donor development, direct marketing, planned giving and major gift-giving campaign strategies. |

Direct and coordinate organization fundraising and marketing functions. |
3. |
Develop and coordinate sales selling cycle and methodology. |
4. |
Direct and oversee the organization marketing function to identify and develop new donors for individual projects, and ongoing activities of the school and performing arts center. |
5. |
Research and develop strategies and plans which identify marketing opportunities, direct marketing, and new project development. |
6. |
Analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of sales, methods, costs, and results. |
7. |
Develop and manage fundraising, marketing and communications budgets, and oversee the development and management of internal operating budgets. |
8. |
Plan and coordinate public affairs, and communications efforts, to include public relations and community outreach. |
9. |
Directly manage major and critical developing client accounts, and coordinate the management of all other accounts. |

Participate in the development of new project proposals. |
11. |
Establish and implement short- and long-range goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures. |
12. |
Supervise the planning and development of organization marketing and communications materials. |
13. |
Represent the organization at various conferences, community and/or business meetings to promote the companys. |
14. |
Supervise the preparation, issuance, and delivery of sales materials, exhibits, and promotion programs. |
15. |
Promote positive relations with sponsors, donors, partners, and vendors. |
16. |
Recommend and administer policies and procedures to enhance operations. |
17. |
Work with senior management and staff to develop five year and ten year business plans for the organization. |
18. |
Establish and implement short- and long-range goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures in fundraising and development. |
19. |
Serve on fundraising, community relations, planning and policy-making committees. |
20. |
Other duties as assigned. |

Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate fundraising, sales, marketing and communications staff. |
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

Experience in strategic planning and execution. Knowledge of contracting, negotiating, and change management. Knowledge of structuring sales quota goals and revenue expectations. Experience in planning marketing strategies, advertising campaigns, and successful public relations efforts. |

Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects. Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings. |
5. |
This is normally acquired through a combination of the completion of a Masters Degree in Marketing and ten years of experience in a senior-level sales and/or marketing position. |
6. | Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule. |
WORKING CONDITIONS
Working conditions are normal for an office environment. Work may require frequent weekend and
evening work. Work may require frequent overnight travel.
